There's no need to wait for your year-end and no fee to switch. Most clients are fully transferred within a couple of weeks and do almost nothing themselves.

From start to finish, your part is usually a 30-minute call and giving us the go-ahead — we do the rest.
Professional clearance is standard practice between accountants — it's how records and information are passed on when a client moves. Your old accountant deals with it all the time, so there's genuinely nothing awkward about it, and no need to feel guilty for switching.
